Liturgical Ministers
Within the context or our public Liturgies (Mass), there are ministries that are open to the congregation. These inlude:
A) Music is an important ministry. If one can sing, read music or catch on quickly and is willing to attend a simple audition for either the Sunday 5:15 Mass, which does more contemporary music, or the Sunday 10:30 Mass, which does more classical music, you are welcome.
B) Reading Scripture is another ministry that is extremely important. If one can read well, and is able to commit and be faithful, you would be a perfect fit.
C) Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are vital to the outreach mission of the Church. This Ministry assists the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament at Mass, but also to parishioners who are homebound or at the local nursing homes or hospitals. If you are interested in either of the other two ministries, call the Office and leave your name and contact information.
For more information about who can be an Extra-Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion, call the Church office and Deacon Pollingue will contact you.
