Joseph Gordon Ryder, Jr.

Joseph Gordon Ryder, Jr. was born in Opelousas, Louisiana in 1949. He attended public school and graduated from Opelousas High School in 1967. He was employed at the Opelousas Airport and Star Dusters Aerial Applicators.

Gordon joined the United States Air Force in 1968 and was trained in Avionics and served in Europe until 1972. After leaving the service, he was employed by South Central Bell, Bell South and AT&T from 1973 to 2009.

He married Brenda Quebedeaux in 1974, and they are parents of three boys, Gerrit, Bart and Brent. His hobbies include blacksmithing, knife making and antique motorcycle restoration. He has been employed by Our Lady Queen of Angels since 2010 as Maintenance Supervisor. Gordon does serve as a member of the executive committee of the Knights of Columbus, Council #11270 and is an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Queen of Angels.
