a message from our pastor

It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement.

Because of the loss of a significant amount of monthly monies that I solicited years ago to sustain the choir that has helped us pray for 12 years, the music at our beloved Queen of Angels will now be cantor and organist at the 8:30am and 10:30am Sunday Masses as it has been at the Saturday 4 pm Mass.

The second collections on Easter Sunday and Christmas for the music ministry, initiated this Easter, will be used to secure special choral/instrumental music for the high holy days such as Christmas and Holy Week.

I wish to profoundly thank Dr. William Plummer for his giftedness which he selflessly put at the service of the Parish. Our talented Church organist, Linda Lorenzen, will remain and will assume the role of the Director of Music.

I thank the devoted singers profoundly, and to say that they will be missed is an understatement.

Please pray that these singers and Dr. Plummer will be scooped up by other religious communities and that as they have helped us to pray, they can and will undoubtedly do for others.
CHURCH NEWS
SEVENTH Sunday of easter

• Someone will be speaking briefly at all Masses on the Vocation Chalice.

• The Altar Society will have their annual Mass this weekend at 8:30a.m., with breakfast to follow in the Church Hall.

• The High School Youth Group will not meet this Sunday at 6:00p.m. in the Church Hall.

• OCIA classes continue Tuesday at 5:30p.m. in the Conference Room.

• Sr. Charlotte's Bible Study continues this Wednesday at 3:00p.m. in the Church Hall.

• Pro-Life Rosary is at 4:30p.m. on Wednesday.

• The adoration Chapel needs adorers on Saturdays from 4:00-5:00pm. Please call the office to volunteer.

• The collection for last weekend was $18,821.
